Avast preventing you from using Usenet
Many of us using Usenet. Sometimes there are strange problems. We install a new newsreader or change the configuration of the computer and we can not connect to the Usenet network. This is often the result of our distraction, and often the result of software manufacturers who wish to think for you.
An example of this are antivirus systems with real time scanning. Often such shield is integrated with e-mail protection. And when we enter the e-mail settings screens, it appears that we are in the advanced settings set to default, scanning of the NNTP newsgroups!
If anyone has a problem connecting to news server or a connection is established but exempts up to saturation and is lost please note the settings of your antivirus program. A very popular program among computer users Avast is the cause of such behavior. Avast might be to programs that try to think for you, and by default have the option to scan selected communication with newsgroups or Usenet network. Please pay attention to this.
Many users have problems, seek solutions to the forums and using search engines. I had no problem with that until I started to use Avast. It turned out that responsibility is the Avast. No matter what the reader had used the similar symptoms appeared. It was like each connection dropped then had to be reconnected. I just could not work. I switched the Nntp packet filtering off and the situation returned to normal.
A ja lubię mieć pokazaną prawdziwą prędkość. Avast nie powodował u mnie większych kłopotów… może dlatego, że mam bardzo szybkie łącze? (UPC Fiber power 150)
