Google Groups?

January 27th, 2010

usenet Google can very effectively selected portfolio of products and services. Usenet also could not be crumpled by Google. And so in 2001, Google acquired the Usenet archive Deja News. History is quite interesting, because Deja News was founded in 1985 as a public Usenet archive by a man named Steve Madere. One advantage was that the archive retained messages indefinitely and it also offered an innovative approach to searching. However, over time the company started to transform into the shopping portal. In 2000 the company fell into financial trouble and the service was sold to eBay. They absorbed a part of Deja News. Google bought archives and changed its name to the Google Groups archive of expanding the private data collected back until 1981 thus becoming the largest repository of text in Usenet.

Fight for new users

November 14th, 2009

Closure odsiebie.com file sharing service, and additional publicity in the media opened up new deals in the fight for customers downloading binaries from the network. It was created to take over part of the great traffic they generate odsiebie.com portal. Decided to use this chance to pobieraczek.pl – service providing access to Usenet. After the loud criticism from Internet users who have used the trial service on this website, pobieraczek.pl wants to attract users of the closed part of the portal by redirecting traffic from a domain odsiebie.com to a domain pobieraczek.pl. Surfer typing the address odsiebie.pl is redirected to a site pobieraczek.pl.

Usenet University. OE and Newsbin Pro configuration

October 3rd, 2009

Many novice users discussion group is faced with a barrier of entry into the world of usenet. There are many questions and hard to get them answered. It is not known to what programs to use, do not know what is the indexing of NZB files and how to use them, do not know where to buy an account to take advantage of Usenet. The result is a throng of questions and the equation with many unknowns. I try to dispel most doubts which arise many users the more that Usenet is seen as the only bastion of freedom of file sharing on P2P stigmatization and killing Pirate Bay, which provoked even Google to remove the site from the search results.
